Motivation To Take The Next Step Toward Your Goal

By Carleen Saeger, M.S., OTR/L, Wellness Coach

This has been a theme lately. So many people feel that if they don’t have time to do a full workout session, then they’re just not going to do it or feel that it’s not worth doing.

This mentality applies to other things in life too.

But, living by this mentality is not real life.

There is never a perfect time. It’s likely not going to be easy. There will probably always be some sort of distractions. You might not always have all the time.

But, that’s the thing… if we just try our best in any given moment with the conditions that exist and do something… take one step forward… we become one step closer to reaching our goals.

Doesn’t that sound better than doing nothing and making zero progress?

Now don’t get me wrong, there is a time for rest and evaluating our priorities. I am a strong believer in creating balance in life. But far too often, chronically living with this all or nothing mindset tips the scale and causes us to slip farther and farther from our goal (and from our true authentic self).

So, you decide… if you don’t have time to do it all today, will you do something or will you do nothing?
