YOGA AT EMPOWER

For Your Body, Mind, and So Much More!

Hi, I'm Carleen and I am not your ordinary yoga teacher. I bring a unique approach to all of my yoga classes drawing from my diverse professional and personal background.

 

As a board-certified occupational therapist I have over 15 years of experience helping people recover from (and prevent) injuries, autoimmune disease symptoms, cancer treatment side effects, arthritis, and more.

As an advanced-level registered yoga instructor, I have over 500 hours of education and additional experience in advanced yoga philosophy and technique.

As a reiki master, I infuse all of my classes with reiki energy.

As an endurance coach, I am trained to properly condition and strengthen the body.

As a wellness coach, I take a holistic, integrative, and functional approach to bring balance to your body, your mind, and your life

What does all that mean for you? Well, it means that you will have quite a uniquely powerful and progressive yoga experience, unlike anything else! I will empower you to bring health and balance to your body and mind and set you up for success toward reaching your goals through yoga. 

Experience small class sizes for a more individualized yoga experience. Learn how to adapt or advance poses and techniques for your body and specific needs. Yoga at Empower Wellness provides you with a progressive experience over the multi-week session so that you continually advance your practice.

 

I infuse Hatha and Vinyasa styles of yoga with my own signature therapeutic yoga style to build flexibility as well as stability and strength through vulnerable areas of your body. Pranayama (breath work) and meditation are integrated to further enhance your experience.

 

Surrounded by horses and hayfields, the Empower Studio provides a peaceful setting embedded in nature to fully prepare you for all the benefits Empower Wellness Yoga classes have to offer.

Total Body Strength and Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Strengthen, stretch, and flow while getting your heart rate up and your zen on!

This is an advanced level class and some experience with yoga or group fitness is recommended.

WEDNESDAY 9:15 AM
Core & Restore
8 Week Session

Strengthen your core and all the essentials while you enjoy a mellow yoga flow. Core & Restore will leave you feeling strong, balanced, peaceful, and calm. Great for all levels. Some experience is helpful but not required.

Beginner/Intermediate Yoga
8 Week Session

Not sure where to start or new to yoga? Maybe you've started yoga but want to progress your yoga journey. Do you have pain or other physical conditions? This is the class for you! We will take additional time to learn and progress the poses, how to transition between poses, and how to set ourselves up for success. Great for beginners, those looking to progress, or those wanting more guidance.

Learn how to properly do yoga for your individual body and to keep your joints healthy
Learn how to modify poses to bring yoga to meet your body instead of forcing your body into a pose
Enjoy weight-bearing exercises that are gentle for your body while strengthening your muscles and your bones.
