It is just as important to find a daily decluttering practice for your inner self as it is for your external environment.
We are constantly bombarded with texts, alerts on our phones, social media, 24-hour news cycles, daily life demands, and the list goes on.
It is so important to be mindful of what you are consuming every day to protect your energy. Our minds and bodies were not meant to hold the weight of the world 24/7.
Here are a few activities that can help declutter your thoughts, emotions and your physical body. Find ones that work for you and try to begin a daily practice.
Daily Decluttering:
-Meditate (you already have a head start on this if you’ve been following along on the Empower Wellness May Challenge!)
-Journal when you wake up (before you even touch your phone!) and/or before you go to bed
-Spend 15 minutes outside without distractions! No music. No podcasts. Just the sound of the birds and the wind in the trees!
-Move!
-Schedule one screen free night a week
-Play!
-Garden: as you pull weeds imagine each one is a negative thought pattern that repeats in your mind
-Eat more plants
-Forgive. If there are old hurts that keep popping up for you, write that person a letter and don’t worry about sending it. It can be so healing to take a few deep breaths, set an intention to let it go and then burn it. Don’t allow what no longer serves you to take up so much space inside.
I would love to hear about the things I may have missed that work for you!
And as always, I am open for questions so please reach out anytime!
