Carleen not only helped me complete my (triathlon) race goals for the year, I was also able to achieve my fastest ever bike time on a half iron distance!  OH and did I mention all of which was completed PAIN FREE! Over the years (getting old booo….), my lower back has begun to nag at me.  The specific strength training provided by Carleen improved my core strength which nearly eliminated my lower back pain.

When I decided to sign up for my first Ultra, I knew I needed a plan. A tri-athlete friend referred me to Carleen and I immediately liked her approach. She set up a structured program that was flexible enough to work with my busy work schedule. I went into my first 50k with confidence and was able to truly enjoy the experience because of my training. Can’t wait to do it again this year!

The Wellness Circle was an amazing, calming and uplifting evening where I am surrounding by encouraging women who were surprisingly going through similar challenges as me. It was a perfect combination of calming meditations, gentle restorative yoga flows, profound self discovery and meaningful conversations. A wonderful getaway for self care on a Wednesday night!


Carleen did a wonderful job providing a safe and calming environment for a group of ten strangers to not only talk about our individual stressors, but she also equipped us with tools and strategies to reduce our individual stressors in realistic ways.

Spending my evening with people I didn’t know seemed scary, but it turned out to be one of the most beneficial nights of my life!

The Womens Wellness Circle stirred more emotions than I expected. It helped me relax and feel safe enough to release emotions I had been pushing down due to stress. By the end I felt I had relaxed, learned, connected with other women (which isn't always something I get a chance to do), and I felt connected with myself. I know it will impact how I reate to stress in my life and the steps I wll take toward my removing stressors. I'm so glad I took the time to have such a meaningful experience.

If you are looking for a night away for just yourself this is what you need. It relaxes you and releases your emotions you may have built up. Being surrounded with woman who may or may not have the same stress or emotions you have. But being able to listen and give them feedback on how you would handle it and getting feedback for your self. I can’t wait for this again! I realized how much I truly need this in my life for myself.

The Wellness Cirlces have been really beneficial to me because it's scheduled time to focus on myself rather than the million other things that I attempt to prioritize in my life (no texts, phone calls, emails, etc). Having positive interactions with other women struggling with similar issues and concerns is empowering. Sharing stories and experiences has helped me to realize I am not alone in my struggles. I've learned to be even more grateful every day and that its important (and ok) to take some time to just breathe.

With over 14 years of experience as a nationally board certified occupational therapist, I started Empower Wellness and Rehabilitation to create a better way to help people take back control of and find balance within their lives. My experience includes specialities in yoga, reiki, myofascial release, coaching, pain management, cancer rehabilitation, hand therapy, general orthopedics, research, and teaching. 

My mission is to help you live your best life by empowering you with the knowledge and skills to reach your goals drawing from my expansive knowledge and experience.

After successfully rehabilitating thousands of clients through their injuries, chronic diseases, and after their surgeries at a local major healthcare system, I wanted to create a better way to help people throughout the continuum of care.

We will dig deep and discover your "why" as well as set attainable goals and lay out a plan. I will stand by your side, hold you accountable, and progress you toward reaching your goals.


 Whether you swim, bike, run, or do all three, Carleen will partner with you to develop a fully customized training plan tailored towards reaching your goals. As a USA Triathlon certified coach and occupational therapist, Carleen pairs her knowledge to get you through training and to the finish line while reducing your risk for injury.
